Beaded Electrical Cords by Nathalie Costes via Apartment Therapy
Wooden beads for those power cords you just can’t hide! The photo is of a pre-made version by Nathalie Costes but I think a DIY version is totally doable. And with most power cords being removable at the appliance you might not even have to widen any holes.  I’m definitely adding this one to the to-do list.

Repurposed Etched Glass Spice Jars : Instructables
My spice rack is a mix and match of vintage and new(ish) mason jars and some random recycled jars. So naturally I love these repurposed Starbucks bottles. Tall and slim and yet bigger than those useless little store bought rack jars.

Door Knob Hangers | Imm Living
Though not a DIY, this pic gives lots of inspiration to create something similar in my own house. Wouldn’t a bunch of these look great in the bathroom for hanging towels? Or a couple near the front door to hang your bag? You can usually find old doorknobs in second hand stores, reclaimed furniture stores, etc. Clean them up, spray paint them your chosen colour and attach to the wall. Easy yet effective!

Better Homes & Gardens | Bird Cage Mail
Flea markets are the best, hands down. There’s nothing quite like waking up early in the morning and heading to the closest flea market to get the best deals. And this bird cage was the best flea market find. Spruce it up a bit if it’s too dirty, or even paint it to match your décor. Then use it as mail or stationary storage station. Add rungs and particle board to create tiny shelves if necessary, and use clips or hooks to add storage for scissors.

diy photo canvas alarm panel cover :the third boob
Using a stretched canvas is a great way to cover a thermostat in the middle of the wall as well. Or old phone jacks or ill placed (smaller) fuse panels. Alternatively you could hang the canvas over the panel but the hinges make it less cumbersome.

Etsy Crocheted Tentacle Scarf. Not a DIY (but awesome) because I cannot find a pattern for this anywhere! One woman knitted one that kind of looked like this here, posted the pattern and took it down because she wants to sell it on Ravelry (but it’s still not posted). From creeplings’s Etsy Store here (where she’s sold out and swears she’s never going to do another custom order ever).
